In a digital environment where OT cybersecurity concerns are peaking, organisations are looking at various strategies to combat cyber attacks in the future — including budget increase and incorporating new technologies, one of which is implementing AI integration.

Palo Alto Networks recently released its 2023 State of Cybersecurity ASEAN report, which found that larger businesses within ASEAN faced increased security risks from unsecured IoT devices, and new found risks from their increased reliance on cloud-based services.

The study received responses from 500 business representatives across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand on their perspectives on the cybersecurity challenges in 2022 and future strategies.

One major finding of the report was that 66 percent of organisations increased their cybersecurity budgets for 2023 from 2022.
